Murphy's Canvas has been serving the San Diego community for over 30 years. Started by Floyd Murphy in 1974, a core concept has always been to employ the best craftsman, and give them the freedom to effectively use their talents.

Marshall Murphy (left) is the owner of Murphy's Canvas, and has over 25 years of experience. As Marshall puts it:

"If you look at the best way to do marine canvas, it comes down to craftsmanship, materials, and experience. We do the best possible job for the best possible price."

Marshall first started in marine canvas when he was 16 years old, and became the owner in 2002.

John Rufing (center) has nearly 20 years of experience, starting with Murphy's in 1991. In John's words:

"I've had some great coaches and have been able to really hone my craft. One of the best things about this shop and the crew we have assembled is the freedom to express yourself and the creative freedom that we have as a team to build some very cool projects."

John has worked on nearly every type of vessel that can float, from mega yachts to race boats to San Diego Harbor Patrol service boats.
